  Dr. Chandran's Torrance office is nice and new with a TV in the waiting room. Most recently I went to his office after an accident for rib pain. I got x-rays taken in his office and he looked at them right there. He asks how my family is doing as well. I feel like he has my best interest in mind. Thanks Dr. Chandran!

  Dr. Shaun Chandran prescribed a medication, which was a topical gel, for pain and his office refused to do the pre-authorization to get my insurance to cover the prescription. My pharmacist, my insurance company, and advocacy group for Medicare patient all called his office to help me get the pre-authorization to no avail. I also requested from his staff to ask the doctor to prescribe another medication along with similar effect which may not need a pre-authorization, but his staff said you need to get the prescription Dr. Chandran prescribed filled and that I should call my medical group. I did all I was advised to do, my insurance denied the prescription, due to not getting the information being requested by the pre-authorization. Then I attempted to appeal the denial, but his office refused to send the insurance the information. This whole time I never was offered a pain substitute. I did write a Yelp review, Dr. Shaun Chandran did respond, to my delight, but did not follow through. If you need help from his staff good luck, as they are either an inept bunch or don't care to help their patients.
